I rarely (ever?) post memes, but I saw this in [info]cortneyofeden's journal and it looked fun. It feels particularly timely since I've been playing around in iTunes tweaking playlists tonight.

Well, that's very interesting- not the meme itself so much (though it is a more interesting one than usual) but the mention of Chris Bingham and Gaia Consort really caught my eye. Chris and Sue Tinney, his wife, are good friends of ours. They were just over today for dinner and a practice involving us and their stellar keyboardist Jay Kenny (also our recording engineer) in preparation for a new band (in addition to, not instead of GC) to be called Dragonfly Champagne. We don't have a full set of songs yet but what has been worked on so far is very promising... :)

Wow.

Cool.

I love how these sorts of small world moments of synchronicity happen sometime.

The next time you see them, give them both hugs of thanks for me. Particularly Chris. *grin*

I can't wait to hear the new band your are putting together. Maybe I will manage to hear you perform live someday. :-)

It is neat, isn't it? Synchrony, I mean. I got a real kick out of seeing Gaia Consort in your play list. I told Chris and Sue about it and they were "right chuffed," as the English say.

I'm all nervous and excited as the gig is tonight- and already my adrenalin is through the roof. Thank heavens for beta blockers. I don't do drugs very often but sometimes they're a godsend.

I will pass on your greetings to Chris and Sue, particularly Chris. :)

I do hope you get to hear DC live sometime- the sound check last night was pretty darn good for a brand new baby band...
